Losing Job in 2 weeks

OMG. I am in shock. My boss told us today he is closing our pharmacy in 2 weeks. As of Sept 18th, I am jobless. I am just starting this process and now my insurance will be gone as of Oct 31st.  My husband talked to his emplyer this afternoon and they are going to add me to his insurance as of Nov 1st. Now I will have Anthem. I have some stuff set up in the next couple weeks. I hope that this does not mess this process up too much. Anyone have experience with Anthem. I had Aetna. I am already going to school part time so I am thinking about taking the next few months off and really look for something I like. I wish I could go to school full time and get my degree sooner.

Wow....that is awful for you.  We just had a local pharmacy close (bought out by Rite Aid) recently where I live as well.

I had Anthem/BC - but mine was based in GA from a major employer here in the state. I had no issues and my approval went right through in about a week.

I had anthem of maine and had no problems with them they were great

I have anthem of maine and I was told by the nut yesterday that it is "great" insurance!

I'm sorry about you losing your job, that's awful.
I also have Anthem and they paid for all of my surgery (Gastric Bypass) except the $100 a day co pay for the hospital stay. I received no other bills. I hope you have the same policy as I do. You should be able to call and ask them questions about benefits. I did because I was the "ginea pig" for WLS where I work, now others have also had it after I had did. Good luck in your journey.

That's terrible news   Can you transfer your skills to another pharmacy?

There are so many plans Anthem has. It's hard to say. Ask DH to take a look at his Certificate of Coverage with Anthem. It will tell you what's covered and what is not.
If he's a State of Maine employee I can tell you that we do cover WLS. I 'm a State employee and administer our health insurance with Anthem.

I think you won't have a problem with Anthem.  I was denied by Aetna back in 2002, they are really hard to get approval from.

Hi there, wow what a shock for you, what are they thinking so close to winter.  Look for a new opening Walgreens they are moving this way!
I had ME Anthem and had no problems, I did have a 3000$ bill to pay plus part of the anesthesiologist bill as well, when all was said and done.  WE are just making payments to CMMC, no problems.
