Hello all,
Sorry its been so long between visits, life is just so busy for me.  I'm 4 months out and still having a rough time getting the protein in.  Max per day is usually 60 -70 and my hair is falling out all the time.  Any suggestions?
I know more protein.  I've lost about 58 pounds and still have 30 more to lose.  I know the hair thing is somewhat normal, but does it stop before you go bald?  Is that why everyone gets their hair cut shorter?  Let me know what you think.  Thanks loads.

Judy

I  am  nine months out and my hair  stopped falling out   the beginning of  August

I  was lucky  that  i   have lots of hair and still have lots i could lose.

I still have a hard time getting   my protein in.   Especially hard protein which is meat.  so i have to rely on  protein shakes to help with that.

Sounds like you are doing wonderful!!!

glad  you are back !!!!

Sounds like you are doing well with your weight loss!  CONGRATS!!!!!     I'm just over 4 months out and still losing my hair like crazy!!   I'm getting my protein in (averaging about 80g/day), taking Zinc, biotin, and using the nioxin shampoo.  I thought I saw a difference with all that in the beginning, but, not so much now!!!!   Good think I had thick hair to start with.  Sorry I can't offer any more suggestions.  Everything I've read says it WILL stop....in time!  Hope that's true!!!!   Let me know if you find anything else that might help!   Ruth

Protein is not the only reason for hair loss.  Having low Ferritin levels can cause hair loss. The extremely low calorie intake starts the whole process. I have been losing lots of hair. gradually my Ferritin levels are coming up. Hopefully my hair will start growing back in.
