I'm Still Alive...

Hey all. I am still alive and kickin although I haven't been doing that great. I have been at a stand still on 90 pounds for a month now. It is real frustrating cause I am not going to reach Dr. Clough's goal of 160 lbs. by my 1 yr. check up.
I have a BIG problem with diahrea after I eat... every meal. Makes me wonder why I even bother eatting. I eat slow and chew well and I still get diahrea.
I can fit into mostly size 12 jeans which is great I am not complaining there but why have I been at a stand still for so long? Has anyone else had this problem for this long and how did you over come it?

Sorry I missed the get together. Haven't been on for so long because I have been so ashamed of my stall...and progress.

Good Morning Miss Netti,  I can say I barely remember you, I think you might have been on when I first started my journey.  I hear your frustration honey, I am 4 months out  with my Lap Band and am not only at a stall I've been at a "Stop" since the beginning,  I am slowly and axiously waiting some more fills to meet my sweet spot and I totally understand you staying away, I've been keeping to myslef also, I come on to sneak a peek, and say hi to all the guys.  They have all been so successfull and supportive I am sure there will be someone who can help you.  All I can suggest is go back to the beginning, follow all those rules, they are so easily brushed to the way side. also, do you drink with your meals? I notice when I do I get diahrea.  and when I don't I get constipated.  OIYYY!!   I notice that some people who are having a hard time or almost at goal slowely stay away also.   On the band site people get tired of answering all the same questions over and over, from beginners, but if they have their own site, how will they learn???  this is where we learn from is our Old Timers and hero's.  Best of luck to you.  Come back,  Hugs, Cheryl

Hi  Miss Netti    WELCOME BACK!!!!

Dont be discouraged  I had been at a stall   for a month and now have started losing  but  only  a half a pound a week.

I have  started back driving the school bus  so  i should get back on a regular routine  which means exercising as soon as i get off the bus.   I needed to   get back to regular  exercising  after all this rain.  I also  grazed  this summer which is not good  so i have started sitting down at the supper table  with hubby  and   having my protein shake for breakfast.    I have to start eating lunch  at a regular time  and not just grabbing something.

I  dont  think i will be at Dr  Cloughs goal  of  160   but  i should be at my goal  at one  year out of 180  then we will work on the  drs  goal.

As long as i follow the rules again.   Take  care  and   hope your journey  gets  better for you but you are and have done   WONDERFUL!!!!!

Hi Netti!!

I am sorry about your stall! Have you talked to your doc about the diarrea?  That doesn't sound good.  What are you eating on a typical day?  I haven't had diarrea since my first month.  But that was when I was just on the liquid/blended diet.

Don't ever feel ashamed about coming here!   We would never judge you!  And maybe you can make it to the gathering next year!!

Hi there!
Nice to meet you!  Like everyone else has said..NEVER be ashamed to come and share with us. That's why we're all here...to learn and support each other!  Stalls are a bummer!  Do you still journal all your food?  Getting all your protein and fluids in?  Like the others have said, sometimes you have to go back to the beginning and see what has changed to figure out why things have stalled.  Journaling is a great way to figure that out.  Hang in there!  You can do it!   Ruth
