just do the best you can. i don't think i got in all the requirements for at least 2 weeks out. i did hit the low end but it is a lot of work. you will have to sip constantly. i even slept with a water bottle so when i woke or rolled over i could take a sip. it does get easier. i can drink a whole ounce at once now.
just keep sipping. go slow and get lots of rest.

If you can have the applesauce, maybe try adding some unflavored protein powder to it? Or, make some protein popsicles with crystal light. If you like sugar free pudding, you could add some protein powder to that too.
It's really hard to get all that protein in at first, but IT DOES get easier as you get further out. I'm with Lisa...if you are getting your fluids in, that is important. Try to get as much protein as you can, but early out, don't stress too much about it!! Keep us posted on how you're doing!! Ruth

Congrats on your surgery! It sounds like you're really doing the best you can! I'd definetely order some unflavored powder for that applesauce like you already thought about. One other thing that I did was drink Simply Smart skim milk and put a little SF Nesquick in it. Either heated up or cold, but early on it felt much nicer to sip the "cocoa" all day!
Good luck and welcome to the loser's bench!

Whole Foods in Portland carries Jay Robb unflavored protein to mix in with water you would like. I also saw that Hannaford in West Falmouth is now carrying it. It will get easier as time goes on. I still 8 months later have a hard time getting all of my protein in every day. Some days I make it and some days I don't. Good luck. Missi
