Well Unfortunately i have sleep apnea, but i have an appointment on september 9 for a c-pap study. I'm having my tubes tired sometime after sept 11. I'm waiting for my sergon visit (sorry can't spell this early) then my surgery. :) I am so looking foward to it.

I had my spinal tap last monday and was official diagnosed with IH and am now on 2 more meds. one to lower the amount of fluid in my head and the other to stop the headaches. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had a headach since sunday. YEAH!!!!

I also have some really good news. I have lost 2 more lbs this past week, on my own.

Good morning! I just returned from my sleep study and apparently I too have sleep apnea. They came in around midnight to put a cpap mask on me. They said someone would contact me in a few days to get me set up with a machine at home.  That sleep study is not a fun experience! And, I don't know how I could ever get used to sleeping with that mask on my face! What is a cpap study? Hopefully I don't need one of those too! I just wonder now if this diagnosis will hold me up from having surgery.

Congrats on losing the 2lbs! Every bit helps!

Having Sleep apnea which is a co morbidity will only help you get insurance approval.

If they put you on the machine the night of your study you shouldn't be required to go back for a cpap study. I have to because while i was doing the sleep study i had and IH attack and ended up in EMMC ER. It wasn't a fun experience. I'm looking foward to being able to try different masks and being able to sleep good.
I was told that they would let me try different masks and they would adjust the amount a pressure throughout the evening. After that i should get a perscription or something. i don't. They really haven't told me. I am however going to see if i can get a sooner appoinment.
Thank you on the congrates

Sorry to hear about the sleep apnea, but all the more reason to get this surgery done. From what I have heard it is difficult to find the right machine for you. Do not just get the machines and not use them if something isn't working for you call the DR and maybe they can suggest a different machine. there are different kinds c pap bi pap. different masks. I would say it would be kind of freaky to wake up in recovery from surgery and have the c pap on and not be used to it. So try to at least be comfy with it before surgery just in case.  Hopefully your surgery gets upped so you can start the losing process to help your condition. Best wishes

So far my day is going better than the past few, just really tired. My youngest son thinks its fun to stay up till 10 pm. I have taken away his crib and he is in a big boy bed now. I can't seem to get him to sleep. Any Ideas

How old is your son? I used to read a book to my daughter at 4 when she gave up her pacifier. She would just go to sleep with me reading to her. My son he is 5 now and I still have to go lay down with him to get him to sleep. I wouldn't suggest getting into that routine though. Maybe the reading would work for your son.
