How long will I be in surgery for an RNY?

If I am taken at 11, what time should I be in recovery, does anyone know?

Our surgeon told us it typically takes 1-2 hours to finish the surgery (unless your name is Ruth and your belly is full of scar tissue and your intestine decides to not cooperate....then it takes 6 hours....but...that's just me!) You should be in recovery by 1 or 130.....my best guess! Good luck!!!!!!!!! Ruth

I was in surgery at 8 and in recovery at 10 and on my way to my room at 11:30

Dr L said when I went in it could be 2 to 4 hours. Then quite a bit in recovery.
