Bangor Presque Isle Surgeries?

I have a friend in Madawaska who is looking into RNY.  I was wondering if anyone who had surgery in Presque Ise or Bangor could give me a quick overview of the process there.

Who was the surgeon?  How long was it from first appointment to surgery?  Were there lots of classes/nutrition appointments etc?  Are you happy with the process and your surgeon?

Also, how long was the wait to get in for a first appointment?

November 2007 I asked my primary about surgery in Presque Isle.  When I got a call from Dr. Jimenez's office I was given my first appointment...IN MARCH 2008.  So I called EMMC and had orientation Dec. 5, 2007. 

I had already been through the PI process years ago and wasn't pleased.  So that's another reason I went with EMMC.

I personally am glad I went through EMMC but macismom went to PI and she's one happy camper (she's camping this weekend, LOL).

Dr. Donald Clough was my surgeon at EMMC. I felt very confident with him. I LOVED the nurses who took care of me after surgery. I was beyond neurotic and they were so kind and loving.

Tanya, I had surgery with Dr, Jimenez., as Caribou mentioned.  i personally love him and his office staff.  It is quite a long wait to get in to see him though.  I got in a little quicker because of inside connections.  I'm glad I had surgery locally, but everybody is different.  You can pm me any questions regarding Jimenez if you'd like.
