It could easily have fed 75 or more. we served about 2"x2" pieces and after everyone had some there was over half of it left. Our daisies were silk but if you wanted to I don't see why you couldn't use real ones. We went with silk for the cost wise. We picked tons of the wild dasies from the side of the road and put them in vases on each table. We bought plasic dasies from oriential trading and sprinkled them down the center of the tables and put little butterflies in with them. I crocheted butterflies and put clothes pins on the back and then fan folded the napkins and stuck them in the clothes pins.
This is a picture of the table settings.
Any questions, just ask,
Cheryl

I LOVE the yellow plates... were they plasic? or glass, I was going to get little silver watering cans for the center pieces for some daisies, the wedding is in August so I dont' think the wild ones will be out, I think i'm going to stock up on silk ones on sale.  I also am going to tie silver buckets to all my yard trees with white ribbons and put daisy's in them. I could tie up all the silverware/with napkins and tie a little daisy on them.  for the guest gift I'm buying some daisy seeds and making up a little card that says please plant in honor of our love.. blah blah, you got the idea...with the date on it.  Your tables looked beatiful, i'm worried about having it outside, but have no choice... other then renting a hall...we are going to rent a big Canopy, round tables and chairs... oiyyyy, what did you do for food??

They were paper from the Christmas Tree Shop. I think 18  for $1.00. Everything we bought was disposable so after the wedding we just scooped up the table clothes and threw them out. The table clothes were waterproof so even if there was liquids on the table it didn't matter.

I bought almost everything at either the dollar store, oriential trading or Christmas Tree Shop. We did everything even the food for under $800.

We rented a hall because we have a Saint Bernard with a big drooling problem and I didn't want him slobbering over everyone. I don't know how much a hall is around your house but in Sweden it was only $50 a day. Then we didn't have to worry about the weather.

For the food we did like a sandwich buffet thing. We had 2 kinds of rolls, 3 different cheeses, turkey, roast beef, ham, egg salad, ham salad, and tuna. I made a big bowl of potato salad, had ham, cheddar cheese and pineapple on toothpicks, chips, onion dip, and salsa/cream cheese dip. Plus olives and pickles. I bought 3 lbs of each lunch meat cheese and had plenty left over. We rolled up the meats and put them on plastic crystal-like plates from the dollar store with white doilies. You could't tell they were plastic. Oh, they hit of the buffet was I made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cut them in the shape of hearts with a cookie cutter. Everyone loved that idea. I had to make something kid-friendly because we ended having 11 kids there.

The watering can thing sounds really nice. If I thought about it I probably would have went that way instead of the vases. I'm almost positive the Christams Tree Shop has those little cans if you need to find them somewhere.

Well, I guess I have to stop gabbing my husband keeps staring at me because he want to go buy a new TV ours died a couple of days ok.

Have fun,
Cheryl

Gotta have a smaller tier on top though...don't forget...the bride & groom...they have to save the top for their 1st Anniversary

is that for real? is it tradition?I know we did it, but thew it out after a year, neither one of us wanted to eat it.  I was just wondering about the size vs 50 people.

I just assumed everyone did it
But then...you know what happens when someone "assumes"

Let's hear from the rest of you...
is this "tradition" or just being plain "ol' fashioned" ???

I don't know about tradition or not but I froze mine. I know your supposed to eat at on your 1 year anniversary but I don't know how it will taste after a year in the freezer.

We had daisys at our wedding 35 years ago!!  We all carried daisys, I had daisys in my veil and the bridesmaides gingham dresses, yup gingham had embossed daisys in them. Was a lot cuter than it sounds LOLI guess it is true what goes around comes around...WE froze our "top" and ate a bite on our 1 year anniversary and it was still good. not great but good. Traditions are important!!!
Cheryl, I would suggest renting a tent that the sides can be rolled up or down, if it rains it is so great to be able to close it down, and if it is hot and sunny the sides can be rolled up for air circulation...

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

I found this cake and DD loves it, so now I need to work it out??? I'll make a small one to freeze too. and yes, Kate we will get the sided tent/canopy with dance floor too, plus 2 seperate small canopies for the dj and for bbq for pig and roast.  so much to plan i'll be making lists for months to come.  I LOVE THIS tho!!she only has a maid of honor, so I'm thinking she won't be getting any special dresses.  she might just tell her a color and let her get her own style.
