Update

Well, we got through it, and it wasn't bad, I was gone for most of it, came back and they were still here so got to meet the prospective people-nice..
No offer yet...hopefully by the end of this week we will know what they are thinking....

Memories can be brought with us!! You are right....
I get a little teary eyes thinking Jaxson will never know the house that his mommy grew up in...that was the hardest thing to think of this week...I am sure there will be more hard moments, but great moments in the new house, too.
All in all, I promise, I am good...

Happy it went smoother for you.  You know it will be more important for you to know and remember memories of where Jaxson's mommy grew up.  he really won't care, plus he's a guy, they dont' get all that emotional crap that is important to us.  My Son is 27, loves us to death, but if I get emotional about something, he laughs, he just dont' get it.  but, he does have good memories of when He was little, so you will just have to make him all kinds of new memories.  it really if funny the things kids remember.  my son's biggest and happiest memory is when we used to go camping and we would give him $5 every morning to go get the newspaper, and he would keep the change, haha,  he thought that was just the coolest thing.  Jaxson will soon be having new memories he will treasure for life. how about planting a tree, take a picture of it with him in front of it, someday drive by and check out how big it is???  Thangs wil work out Kate, I know its hard,  Hugs, Cheryl

oh, I wanted to say one more thing.  My sister and I went to Craft Mania today to get xmas gifts for next weekend's family xmas in JUly party.  we got all the kids "stepping stones" Kit... you can write near the tree you plant on the stone "Planted by Jaxson on July...."  he would think was was cool for many years to come...or carve in a tree, hehe... best of luck sweetie

that's the good thing about "memories"...no matter what ~ no one can take your memories away !! 
And I have to agree with Cheryl...guys don't really get into the (as my boys refer to it...) "girly stuff".  But the tree planting and stepping stone idea I thought was very cool...good job Cheryl !!
