Wohoo...5th Day Liquid Diet

Well I got on  the scales today...and I am now between 11-13 lbs lower...I didn't weigh myself before I started the liquid diet, I did it two days in, so thats why I am guessing on the 2 lb. difference from the last time I weighed in...I am happy but have to say today has been hard...The first couple of days were too, but today more...I went to the ER last night cause I have a sore in my mouth and they said its an ulcer, basically like an overgrown canker sore, but really painful...So the soups I have been eating aggrivate as well as the drinks I have been drinking...Also the protein drinks aka carnation instant breakfast drinks I have to  be careful how much I have because for the last few years, milk upsets my stomach...So therefore, I also have to mix most of my creamed soups with water if I dont want the upset stomach...Called dr. on call but he wasn't one that really deals with gastric bypass patients so I guess I have to just do what I have to do...But atleast in all this mess the weight is coming off...Yeah me...I am so excited about starting my new life...Thanks for letting me vent...It really hasn't been too bad, except today...But 5 day is almost done...Love to all...honks!

I did the two week liquids too. Youre on the home stretch now because after day 4 or 5 it only gets easier!!
Good luck!

Misty you are doing great!
Sorry to hear of your problems. The preop diet as you know is for the shrinkage of the liver and it will make it easier for the post op diet, plus you are losing this weight. You are rocking.........
Before you know it you will have the surgery and be on the losers bench...
So, keep us posted!
Take care and have a great day!

 Exercising again!, Life is good....

Girlllllll you are rocking!! Keep up the good work and it will be easier I promise!!
Your liver is shrinking and that is a good thing, get it out of the way of surgry and not fatty, starts everything off great.  That hunger is prob 60% head hunger and you can conquer that!! You are getting plenty of nutrition and that is what we need not the feelings of food, cause it doesn't feel anything for us!!! Put it all inperspective, you will be through this part and an old pro after surgery when you won't feel like eating anything, so this is great practice LOL
Honking from Lovell, can you hear me????
love,
kate

It was magic when she realized who she had become...
