My son plays for Bangor youth hockey. He is a squirt. He wants to try out for the travel team this year. We have only played house teams so far so it will be interesting. He is doing the Kent Salfi clinic this coming week and then the Pro Ambitions hockey camp the following week. They are both being held in Brewer.
My oldest plays travel and our youngest is going to play for the Portland Junior Pirates this coming year. He is a 2000 but they put him on the 1999 team as the goalie. We have done the Pro Ambitions camp it is good. My oldest is doing a camp in Yarmouth, National Hockey Development and the youngest is doing the Bertagna goalie clinic this week. There are so many camps to choose from now.

1. How long have you considered WLS? Actually I started thinking about it last August
2. What is your no. one goal, not in weight, but acchivements (ie: bunggie jumping)haha...I suppose becoming healthier would be the ultimate achievement for me.
3. Is your family, mother, father overweight?Yes as a matter of fact my mom had WLS back in the 70s. The stomach stapling surgery I think it was called gastrectomy back then.
4. What do you do for work? What is work lol I am a stay at home mom right now. Until kids are both in school this fall then I need to find a part time job.
5. Your favorite hobbie? I love photography, music, reading, and crafts

1. I considered it a long time ago, then lost and regained 80lbs rapidly. Diagnosised with a brain diesase (fluid on the brain) that my neurologist feels was brought on by the rapid weight lost/gain. She feels with the wls that I will go into remission, I had 1 shunt surgery/5 revisions last year, so I researched and decided on the lap band less invasive since I already have the implant of a shunt and excess tubing.
2. To be blessed with remission! So, far I am able to walk again for exercise! 30 mins a day and slowly increasing the speed. I want to be able to do things with my family again!
3. Yes, my mother is obese. My father was muscular.
4. I work customer service in a call center. Full time, at a desk.
5. Right now, nothing. I have been sick that I just work and spend time with my family.
But, since wls, things are looking better. That I am thankful for and the people I have meet here.

1. How long have you considered WLS? I met a lady July '07 who had WLS 4 years ago and that got me thinking about it. I requested a bariatric referral from my PCP afterwards.
2. What is your no. one goal, not in weight, but acchivements (ie: bunggie jumping)haha... to be healthier, and be in less pain. I currently have high BP, high Cholesterol, sleep apnea and osteoarthritis in one knee and OCD in the other knee. My goal is to be off meds, cpap and be lighter so the knees don't hurt as much.
3. Is your family, mother, father overweight? M+D are overweight but not morbidly obese. My sister is obese
4. What do you do for work? I am a benefits specialist for State of Maine employees. I help administer the health and dental insurance benefits.
5. Your favorite hobbie? This a long one- I live to craft. Flameworking (making glass beads, marbles, sculptures with a torch), jewelry making, sewing, counted cross stitch, knitting, piano playing, gardening, Please don't do the white glove test in my house- look at the crafts/art instead.
