Looks like it's been a quiet day around here today!  What's everyone up to?  Hope you all have gotten out and been enjoying this beautiful weather!!!!

We were in  Waterville/Winslow all day watching my DD play softball.  So far, in this tournament, they've won 3 games and lost 1 game.  They get to play again tomorrow morning!  WOOHOO!!  They are doing awesome!  I'm hoping they don't get eliminated in their first game!  This is a Regional tournament with teams from all over New England up here playing!  It's great competition!!!!!  Wonderful weather for watching and playing softball!

Hope you all have a great Sunday!!!!   Ruth

Hi Everyone!

I spent yesterday at a horse show.  Both showing and organizing...what a day!!!  We placed 4th out of 5 in both classes.  Our scores were very good, competition was tough.  Phew, glad it's over.  Not another one, that I organize, till September.  I'm hoping to ride in another show on August 9th but it all depends if I can get a ride for my horse.

Hoping to ride in a clinic today with yesterday's judge but not sure if DH is going to let me as he was home all day alone with the kids.

Yesterday I planned to work in the gallery, helping our friends keep it open. I got a phone call that they were are set and didn't need help. So I caught up with my sister and Mom and went to quilting auction in Camden. I purchased a nice round floor stand quilting hoop, and a square floor quilt frame. Also a book " from aardvarks to zebras". I has  patterns and instructions to make unusual stuffed animals. My grandson will probably be the recipient of something from that book.

Started sewing a skirt and top last night and realized that I didn't cut out enough pieces. I'm short 1 of the 8 pieces for the skirt- hopefully the store still has some of that fabric   Otherwise I wonder if I can fit into  a 7 gored skirt rather than the 8 gores it's supposed to have???

We showed the house on Friday, and yesterday and today we are back at the details, went to REny's and bought a rug for the kitchen and office, then to an antiques store where I found a chair to "stage" the office , this really cool Morris chair from the 30"s, giagantic, oak, with a reclining back, looks super in DH office, vvery masculine!! I think, THINK, we are done, except for some maintainence stuff, cleaning the furnace, fixing dryer vent, stuff like that...

Have the grands for church and lunch and a swim, where their parents take a ride to the new Cabela's.

I'll be checking in off and on all day,

Have a glorious Sunday!!

Love to all,

kate

Hey Kate,

What does "Stage" mean?  how did the house/log cabin shopping go?  and why do you need to buy new furniture if you plan on selling??? I'd save my money for the new place??? JMO, and nosey, sorry. hehe.... you must love having everything all done tho, don't it feel great.  we have our new rugs in for the first time in 15 years,  it is wonderful.  I miss my doggie sooo much tho,  it is getting better, but I just miss his beautiful face and eyes....I truely believe he is visiting me as a Robin, the bird comes and visits me as I sit outside, almost daily.   have a great day.. Hugs, Cheryl

Staging is creating a story in each room, so prospective buyers can imagine themselves living in the room...for example, I have taken down all of the personal pictures, cleaned out all closets, cleared out bookcases so there are only a few books in each. Realtors call this staging a house to sell,

I bought the chair and will take it with us for his new office, but didn't have an extra chair around to put in his office-after removing a walk fit, boxes of papers and files, a broken rug cleaner, 3 totes filled with son's clothes...needed something.  Put a floor lamp next to it and created a reading corner in the room/office.  I still have to paint the floor in there. I will take some pics and put them on my profile so you can see what I mean...

Oh, the post and beam houses are amazing but way, out of our price range if we are going to downsize and conserve..LOL.

House is listed with Remax country Living, in Lovell, 231 Old Stage Road
