New pain patch

Today I finally saw my pcp. Ive been having real bad lower back pain since Friday the 4th and I didn't want to go to the ER and have them give me pain killers that make me vomit and tell me to go see my pcp, so I've toughed it out. The pain was so bad it was difficult to walk and it hurt to sit. My pcp sent me for xrays and put me on an NSAID patch (called Flector Patch or diclofenac epolamine topical patch) for pain and swelling and a muscle relaxer and it is working great. I didn't know this patch existed until today and I wanted to let all the Gastic Bypass people know how well it works for me. I don't like to take anything stronger then tylenol, and I can't take NSAIDS my mouth so I wasn't sure what could be done. I love this patch. I'm still a little sore, but it's not anywhere near as bad as what it has been for the last 4 days and I can walk again. This patch last for 12 hours and come in a box of 30. I don't go back to wor****il Friday, to give my lower back and tailbone time to rest (I sit in a chair all day at work). So I'm hoping to catch up with everyone here. I've missed chatting with everyone. I went to the CMMC support group tonight with my daughter. It was a very good group. Was great meeting you and your daughter Ruth. (Happy Birthday) It's always nice to meet people you chat with. Was there others from  OH there? Will any of you be at the meeting on Thursday? We'll be at that one too. ~dori~

Was great meeting you and your daughter too, Dori!  You look great Dori! It's always nice to put a face with a name!  I'm glad you told me about that patch...I didn't know about it!  Hopefully others will come on Thursday...I think Tanya said she was coming....not sure about anyone else!  See you all there!  Ruth
