Hi folks, We have some friends in Florida that have had great success with a medically supervised program that involves weekly B12/B6 shots, appetite suppressants, and a supervised diet. There seem to be several programs like this in Florida but I'm not finding anything in Maine...does anyone know of similar programs in the greater Portland area? Thanks in advance, --JT

Hi JT, I honestly have never heard of anything like that... Try the Woman to Woman site and see if you can search their website about weight loss... Good luck with that, anything we can do to support yu let us know!! kate

http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/non_postops/ There is a site here on OH that are people who have choose to try losing without WLS. You may want to ask on that board. I myself would suggest talking your PCP about it.

Thanks folks, There is plenty of information and a variety of clinics out there that specialize in this...it is generally not covered by insurance and when I get home I'll see if my PCP has any references. Since I'm actually looking for docs in Maine, I'm going to bypass posting on the non-surgical boards since they don't seem to be Maine specific. Thanks for the answers and I'll continue looking. --JT
