my feet have been hurting me for a long time, I've always assumed it was my arthritis getting worse, since I'm getting older. but this week, after even wearing more supportive shoes this week and getting arch supports, am in total pain, I can't hardly walk the dog to pee.  OH, Great, my sister in law from Florida (Ms. Health nut) who by the way is just as overweight as me.  is always preaching to me to exercise more.  is coming up for 2 weeks, this should be fun??? I HATE to be preached to...and her DH is so negative, he told me the other night, our new addition looks stupid.  And that he would have done it way different, and can't wait to get up here to tell us what he would do/???? OMG, please pray for me.  I usually can't shut my mouth for very long and explode, I just need to walk away and breath deep.  oiyyyyy!!

You might have a condition called plantar fasciitis. It is terribly painful but responds well to treatment and orthotics. You should look it up online and if it sounds like you make a doctors appointment to get it taken care of. It won't get better on its own...only worse and it is soooo painful. Here is a link to the mayo clinic... http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/plantar-fasciitis/DS00508

Hi Cheryl...as I said before, I'm new to this site but enjoy reading all the great info. from everyone...I've had painful feet for going on 2 years now...I'm a type 2 diabetic and found out that what I have is Neuropathy in both my feet...the pain is so bad, some nights I literally cry like a lil' baby    My PCP has referred me to 3 different "specialists" with no luck...she has given me pain medication but I don't take it unless I absolutely have to...the only way I can explain the pain to someone who has no idea what I'm talking about is...it feels like having socks on that are full of bumble bees... may or may not be anything like what you are experiencing...I hope your PCP is able to help you...Good Luck !! Speaking of "Luck"...sounds like you're gonna need a truck-load of luck AND patience to deal with your soon-to-be arriving company     Hang In There...

Oh my  goodness, that sound terrible.  NO bumble bees here, my pain is a sharp pain at the back of my arch, inside, near heal... I feel like I am turning my ankle inward and if I do I get a sharp pain.  I don't have heal pain, as decribed in Terry's post, but it certainly sound very similar, it is so hard to describ pain, dont you think?? and where?  it got alot worse when I started wearing my flip flops, I need to put my sneakers on again,  SO MUCH WORK>  and they get dirty in garden, then I have to take them off, put them on, ....... you know, I get lazy... flip flops go on easy.    AS for my company, boy I could go on for hours, this visit will be very interesting to say the least,  My goal is just to shut the Hell up and take it all in.... but boy it is sooo hard.  then my other sister in law, is so jealous, (although she has more money then all of us) she can't handle it if her sister and I do anything together, there is so much compitition between the two of them, it drives me nuts.  I would just not go and have to hear all the crap if it wasn't for my DH.  Just need to be a good girl... in more then one way, Food and Booze!!!  that just fuels the fire...thanks for your reply  good luck with the bees???

That (almost) sounds like Tendonitis...??  Probably should give your Dr. a shout before it gets worse... Yes, it's very hard to describe "your" pain to someone else and expect them to be able to understand...   Makes it hard when you feel like you have to "walk on egg shells" in your own home though...that's the one good thing about having company... eventually they will leave !!  From everything I've been told and everything I've read...it seems pretty hopeful that my diabetes can be a thing of the past AFTER my surgery...so I'm really hoping that once the diabetes is gone then (maybe) the neuropathy will (at least) be a bit more bearable...that's what I'm hoping for anyway  Enjoy the rest of your week~end !!

Can you say "Thank you for your opinion but this is how we wanted our house to be".  Or what does that guy say on channel 6 when they do an editorial "that's our opinion we value yours"  just change it up a little "this is our addition not yours".  Good luck!!  It's easy to disassociate with people like that but impossible when they are relatives.

Yes, Stephanie, I certainly can say those things and remain calm and be polite, but, after a few days of it, I usually loose it, like a fruit loop.  I can only take so much.  Last time they visited I lost it over a stupid fish in our fish tank.  OMG, I laugh at it now, "BUT not with them" he kept talking about one of our fish, that was a little crazy and was like playing and chasing outher fish.  He kept saying it was going to kill the other, on and on, and wouldn't shut up.  OMG, after a week, I said, "Jesus, maybe we want our fish dead, get over it", its our tank....then I took a blanket and covered it up and said, there, now you don't have to look at it. anymore.  my DH, is so good about not saying anything, although he did say last time, "What is your problem" do you always have to throw neg. remarks about everything?  They have lost thier Son because they dont' like his wife, and their dgt, cause they dont 'like her husband.  It drives me nuts.  We used to be such good friends with them, they have changed so much over the years, I woulnd't want to hang around with them anymore, but like you said they are family.  oh, well, wish me luck, lol
