Has anyone tried Eggface's Turkey Slaw??? I made it and it is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!  I made it minus the turkey but will use turkey next time.  I'm having a really good time trying new recipes out ~ as you can tell I especially like www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com I'm heading to do groceries so I'll be making some from my new Hungry-Girl cookbook this weekend.  I may not be able to eat a lot of food but I sure am having fun cooking.  Good thing I have a family with a healthy appitite and a good size chest freezer. 1 cup smoked turkey breast, diced 1 cup Broccoli Slaw Mix 1 cup Cabbage Slaw Mix 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (I used WW mexican blend) 1/4 small red onion, finely diced (I didn't use one) 1/4 cup raisins 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted 1/4 cup reduced fat/light mayo 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt 1 tbsp BBQ Sauce 1 tbsp cidar vinegar 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt black pepper to taste Toast almonds in  a dry pan for a few minutes.  Set aside to cool and crisp up. In a large bowl comine turkey (I got 2 1/4" thick slices from the deli then diced), slaw mixes, onion (I didn't use one), cheese, raisins and almonds.  In a small bowl mix mayo, yogurt, BBQ sauce, and vinegar.  Pour dressing over the slaw mixture, season with pepper adn toss to coat.  Cover and refrigerate 1 hour then serve. Makes 4 1/2 cup servings The stats using the brands and alterations I made: calories 122.9 Fat 4.2 Carb 15.2        Fiber 2.3

Protein 5/2

I have company coming next week and they are all Health food freaks, (pretty annoying actually, they are always telling us what we should do or eat) I will try it, but first ? what the hell is Greek yogurt?  what flavor? and can I use reg. yogurt? I will leave out the raisins tho, cause I know my family won't even try it with those in it.   Thank you Steph...

Hi Cheryl, Greek yogurt is high in protein.  I heard about it from the main forum and now eat it every day!!  However, don't even try it plain!!!  I buy it at Wal-Mart in the yogurt section.  I use Oikos which is in a white container with blue writing.  It's expensive at $1.46 for 5oz or $4.24 for the bigger container.  Hannaford sells the Fage brand in the health food refrigerator case but that is even more expensive.  It has the consistancy of sour cream.  I would think the slaw recipe would work with plain yogurt too but the taste will be a little more sweet...if you try it let me know how it comes out.  My husband picked out the raisins.  The kids loved it too.   I mix 1/2 cup with 1 packet sweet n low then add 2tbsp peanut butter (reduced fat) and then freeze it for about 3 hours.  When I'm ready to eat it I put 1tbsp sugar free chocolate syrup on top then put 1tbsp light whip topping ~ yummo!!!  High protein frozen yogurt sundea.   Mix 1/2 cup with 1 packet sweet n low then add 3 sliced strawberries then freeze for 3 hours.  Top with sf chocolate sauce and whip topping ~ chocolate covered strawberries. I also use it on my mexican omletts instead of sour cream for the added protein.  Tons of ideas for it on Eggface's website. Hope your family enjoys the slaw...I'm making more tonight
