Hello all...Monday is my Day!
Well Hello to all! I've been a lurker for a while now. I'm finally getting close to having my surgery on Monday June 30th in Bangor. I've been in this process since last August. I had to have a CPAP machine and have my gall bladder out since all of this started, but now I'm ready as can be. I've been on liquids since last week. Does anyone have any ideas as to what to drink that I'm not......this is a very boring diet. I am happy, but at the same time a bit apprehensive about the surgery and the weeks of recovery. Thanks for letting me share.
Hello Fiesole, you been lurking, now have we scared you out of coming in and saying hi? we wouldn't hurt. Welcome all the same. You must be so excited after this long wait. I didn't have to do the liquid for more then 2 days pre op and that was the pits, my dr. requires 10% weight loss prior to surgery, which I'm happy he required that and not the liquid, those two days were hell. I had a hard time with clear liquids, it is much better if you are allowed cream soups, protein shakes, and milk, you can check out sites for protein shakes, you can come up with many varieties. keep yourself busy so you dont think about being hungry and go to bed early. wishing you the best and good luck on Monday. now go fix up that profile so we know a little about you.... take care, Cheryl
Hello and welcome. One of my new favorite things to add to water is True Lemon, True Lime or True Orange. Here's a link to the original post about them. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/ME/a,messageboard/action,r eplies/board_id,4823/cat_id,4423/topic_id,3620452/page,1/#28 602277
I met Dr. Toder for the 1st time 1 week ago. I was very impressed. You are in good hands. Best of luck.
