Hey there Emily.  I've noticed when you post about your appointments you always include Sam.  So...just a few curious questions??? 1) Did you and Sam begin the EMMC program at the same time? 2) Will you have surgery dates close together (how romantic)? 3) If so....please tell me Sue or someone will help the two of you out.  As good as I felt when I got home it was all still very overwhelming and no way could I have done the laundry, take the garbage out, etc. 4) Does Sam read the posts here as well? (Hi Sam.  It was great to have had the oppertunity to meet you )

Terri- so glad you can read my posts. It took a while but I've got it set up correctly now. I was the first to question my PCP about a bariatric referral. I asked DH to do the same as his next appointment.  Our referrals were processed and we have gone through the EMMC program together. It has worked out fairly well traveling once from home to Bangor for both of our appointments. Sometimes it caused a delay in scheduling, we were postponed twice due to snow storms for the 1:1 dietician meetings.  Our surgeon asked about what our plans are for surgery. I told her I would be ready anytime, Sam is a seasonal worker and doesn't want to schedule surgery until after his park closes. Dr. Toder did agree that spacing out the 2 surgeries was wise for transportation and healing time. So hopefully we will get word soon about insurance approval and surgery dates. No he doesn't read the posts here- but he certainly does hear about what I learn from others experiences and hints. He says he's not a "support group person", probably because he has me
