Best of Luck Melissa, I just My-Calorie Counter on line it is great, it adds it up for you, and keep a list of all the foods you have used in the past so all you have to do is click on those and it add the calories, protein and everything you want.  good luck with all your pre op and post op things.  talk to you soon.  Hugs and Honks, Cheryl

First off...good luck with your surgery, please let us know how you are doing! For food logs...I know alot of people use online things: the daily plate, calorie king, places like that.  I, myself, use a "Diet and Exercise Diary" I found at a bookstore in Auburn.  It has enough room for 1 year.  It includes some stuff that I don't use (mood ratings, sleep ratings, stuff like that) But, there is room for exercise tracking, fluid intake, and gives you room to write down amount of food, fat, protein, carbs, fiber, and cals. (I don't use all those columns, but they're there if you'd like to)  I've used it faithfully since coming home from the hospital...I include ounces of food eaten, calories, and protein and I track all my fluids here.  I total everything daily so I have an idea how I'm doing.  Not sure how everyone else does it, but this seems to be working for me and my nut seems to like that I have everything written down.   Let me know if you need more info on this diary I have..btw...when I bought it, it was on sale for $3.99!!!   Good luck with your surgery!  Speedy healing!  hugs and honks!   Ruth

I do believe, Ruth's method is alot more convienient to carry around and bring with you, I can go back 2 mo. on line tracker but it uses so mu***** and paper to print them all out.  I'm sure your Nut would love seeing it every time.  I do like doing it on line cause like I said it is easier and i"m on the stupid puter all day. I guess what ever is easiest for you.  I don't have to look everything up everytime I have something it is automatically there, BUT, I guess they all have their good and bad points. hehe, good luck

I found it at the Aurburn Mall...I think there is only 1 bookstore in there..I don't remember the name!  Sorry! The book is called "Diet and Exercise Diary"    ISBN #: 978-1-7418-1135-3  In case they don't have it....they can always order it for you.  It is spiral bound and soft cover.  It works well for me...they may have other ones too....I got it because it was cheap!  haha!  Good luck!  Ruth  (I just realized you live a hop, skip, and jump away!  haha....Hi Neighbor!)

Good luck with your surgery!! I swear by www.thedailyplate.com I use it daily 3 - 4 times a day ~ a bit compulsive but it works for me.  I track everything I eat and very rarely is something not in the database.

I use fitday.com for diet and exercise and weighttracker for my measurements. But then again I always have a computer nearby.
