Hi everyone!  Thanks for your responses and ideas.  I appreciate it.  Subsequent to my March '03 surgery i ended up having complications requiring a couple more surgeries...the last in April '04.  Since then, no problems.  10 days ago had severe pain, varying from level 8 to 4 over several days, with xrays, upper GI, and CT Scan.  Shows nothing significant, and everyone says i need to go to Gastric Bypass doc next.  OK.  So, after my PCP interacting with Cobean's office for 3-4 of those days, and ending my records to them, AND  his asst actually calling me to set an appointment (all of that with no mention of them not taking on other surgeon's ex-patients) Cobean called my PCP to say "no".  Apparently the real problem was not my being a patient of another surgeon, but the fact that almost 7 years ago i was actually on his WL. (which they wouldn't have known had I not offered the info, as my name was different then).   I'd joined both his and Aslam's lists before i was even certain I wanted surgery, to have time to research and think about it.  I was called by Aslam first (Cobean's list was 2 yrs long), and competence wasn't an issue since Aslam had done more than twice the number of BP surgeries, at that time, than Cobean.  I never did go into Cobean's program or waste any of their time, but apparently my having chosen another surgeon over him is more important than the fact that I'm in bed with pain and in need of help. So....that having been said.... Dr. Loggins office was very kind, but explained that they are a very new and small practice and because he's so overloaded with new people, he has to say no at this time.  Dr Georginitis, in Biddeford, is willing to see me.  Anyone know him?

I don't know that MD.  I'm sorry and can't believe that Dr. Loggins office would take you.  It just does not seem to make sense.  Good luck with the MD in Biddeford!  Let us know how it goes.
