Danger at the office!!!!!

So dear ones, you must be alert and on your toes at all times in this vast jungle of dangerous things lurking in MY DESK of all places.. At work on Tuesday, I had to hook up my fax machine to my phone line having cancelled the fax line due to *gulp* finances, and I was looking for this two way adaptor. I pulled stuff out of my desk cubbies, nope, and then started cleaning out the bottom cubby when all of al sudden...eeekkkkk!! A half bag of CADBURY EGGS tumbled our on the floor..OH NO!! I scrambled back away from it and looked at it in horror. Seriously, it was just like a viper had slithered out of my desk.  I poked it abit, and i was talking to myself the whole time, "you can't eat it, it will make you sick, don't even think about it, you will get so sick...etc..." I wish Icould say I threw it away right away, Idid eventually, but first stopped and figured out if 12 eggs is 33 grams of sugar, how many grams of sugar in one egg...HAHAHAHA. Then I bagged it up to go to the dumpster.  So I continue to pull stuff out and find the adaptor.  As I am putting stuff away, I look into the cubby, the back corner, and there were...NOT ONE BUT TWO plastic candy canes filled with chocolate Hersheyettes. For those of you who don't know they are the hersey's equivilent of M&Ms, and my fav, which theystopped making years ago EXCEPT at Christmas when you can find them in the candy canes, or apparently in my desk!! SO after a huge sigh of longing, I bagged those up too, and ran not walked to the dumpster and threw them into the furthest corner, again with this mantra.  "I will not dumpster dive, I will not dumpster dive!" I think it was so horrifying because Iwasn't prepared, I have not craved chocolate of any kind, zip by candy aisle in the market, no problem, but this coming out of no where, threw me for a bit.  I did recover and am having a great laugh about it, hope you do too! Hugs!

Hi Kate~ What a surprise and you are so strong to be able to throw it all away.  I have been giving in to some of those cravings, now that they have returned at 13 months out.  I had 2 tootsie roll midgees yesterday = 46 calories, 9 carbs,  6 sugars and 0 protein.  What a waste!  I won't do it again because I felt so guilty, still do.

Good Girl Kate, now you neglected to tell us, why they were there in the first place.  Were they gifts? was there a sale.  I know you wouldn't have bought them for you to eat.  did someone place them there as a bad joke?  I wish I had your willpower, your doing such a great job.  Have a great day, and enjoy all those little kisses of Sun...

They were left overs from Easter and Christmas, Easter LAST YEAR!! hahaha my own personal; stash, I guess. I had no idea they were there!! Really no point to this whole $30K surgery if I am not going to follow the rules and take it seriously, and I really, really don't want to get sick. It will be different, I think, when I start liking food again, and I know that will happen... Love strawberies and blueberies right now tho, yum!

I was ready for a story about some stalker wanting you to smell perfume and then take off with your car or something!  YIKES!  CANDY is worse!  jk....I'm so proud of you for having the power within you to get rid of that stuff!  You know....we're gonna slip sometimes and try ONE piece of that stuff and I, for one, home it makes me sick!  I DON'T want to be able to eat that stuff!  Right now, I treat it ALL like it's gonna make me sick!  I had 2 strawberries today for the first time.....I was sooooo worried I was gonna get sick on them...but did fine!   Nice, tasty alternative to the Cadbury eggs!   Kudos Kate!  You are awesome!  Thanks for the laugh too!  Ruth
