BETRAYAL BY OH MEMBER

i recently experienced a betrayal by an OH member.  I was sharing my frustration and venting.  How many of you have "vented" about what you think or may do or not do? In confidence to a friend, only to take different action once you are level headed again. Well I had confided in a friend that contacted me in response to patients of Dr. Jaime Loggins in Lewiston.  This person showed my personal and private comments to Dr. Loggins.  What a sense of betrayal I felt. Why did this person, not come to me first. THE LESSON HERE IS, DO NOT BE FOOLED, EVERYONE *****SPONDS EVEN IN A FRIENDLY WAY IS A POSSIBLE BETRAYER TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE.  MY DR. KICKED ME OUT OF HIS PRACTICE AFTER ONE YEAR OF WORK. THIS WOMAN  COST ME A YEAR OF MY LIFE AND MY SON'S LIFE, WAITING FOR THIS SURGERY. fRANKLY SHE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HERSELF AND IF YOU KNOW WHO SHE IS, SHE IS NOT ONE TO BE TRUSTED.  NOR IS EVERYONE *****SPONDS TO YOUR REQUESTS FOR HELP....I GOT BURNED I HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE TO....... I just wanted to inform you all in response to this, that we found out at the post-op meeting last week that Corinne, the nutritionist, does read the postings on this site, so it is quite possible that she herself brought the posting to Dr. Loggins attention.  I truly don't believe that anyone that I talk to on this site would betray any confidences they might receive.  I feel for you truly I do, but once again we are all responsible for what we post on this site and it is available to the public to read.  For all we know, Dr.  Loggins could be reading them himself.  Missi

oh, my Kaileigh, I am in aww that Dr. L would kick you 0ut.  I remember you talking about your frustration, but  you never said anything worth kicking you out.  I hope he was able to tell you who this person was so you know who you can and cannot talk to.  I hope you don't give up and continue your search for a new Dr. there are many around and maybe they will be able to transfer all the tests you have taken.  I have talked to Dr. Loggins about things that I have questions about, that I have heard here on OH, I hope nothing was as bad as to kick someone out.  was your name mentioned?  Best of Luck and I hope you return.    Hugs and prayers to you, CHeryl

corinne has said on several occasions she reads this site. i'm very sad someone betrayed your trust. i really hope you stay here for support. we really are a great bunch of people.

Sorry things have gone the way they have.  If you should decide to persue surgery, try giving Dr. Cobean's office a call.  I (as well as many others here) have had a GREAT experience working with the staff there.  He is located in Portland.  There is also a female doctor there...Dr. Wolfe.   Good luck to you in whatever you decide. ~Julie~

All I can say is wow. I am so sorry you have gone through this. I can not imagine Dr L kicking anyone out. I am kind of shocked to tell you the truth.

I'm sorry for what you are going through.  Are you sure that Dr. L "kicked you out" because of OH comments?  I can't imagine that???  HMMM...have I made any comments against Corrine???  I have a lot to wonder about my last conversation with her then???  I don't think I've ever said anything negative about her but she was no nice the last time I spoke to her...at least that was my perception. 

I am truly sorry that you are going through all this.  I hope it all works out for you.  Keep us posted on what you decide to do...  Ruth

We've talked about Corinne reading the boards many times. IT helps her to know what people like us are struggling with so she can do a better job working with us. She's so big on confidentiality that I can't imagine her using anything we say in an inappropriate way. I will say though, that nothing you put on the internet is private. It's just not. You might as well put your comments on the front of the New York Times. That's not to say that I wouldn't be upset if I thought that someone did something intentionally to hurt me. I can't imagine that Dr. Loggins kicked you out of the practice. That just totally doesn't seem like something that would happen based on postings on a message board. I'll peek at your other posts and see if I can see anything that might be "uncool".

Was this what he was upset about ? I can understand why if it is - "he is former military and is definitly not used to a powerful woman going at warp speed getting all his requirements done in six weeks, and for spite, I really believe he has made me wait this long just to prove he is in charge."
That's really not cool to say. I went through the process in 10 weeks, and am very opinionated and outspoken, and he certainly didn't hold off surgery to "spite me". That makes him sound horrible and I hope you didn't really mean that! Your hang up was because YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE and were trying to get the STATE to pay for your surgery. That was your hold up! How the hell is that Dr. Loggins' fault????
