My PCP is sooo awesome!  I had all my 2 month labs drawn on Monday and TODAY, I got a letter from my PCP. (She had requested a couple of labs too!)  Guess what?!?!?  I am no longer diabetic, by the criteria they use!  WOOHOO!!    My hg A1C was down to 5, from 6.5 pre-op, which, she says is way below the diabetic cut off!  YIPPEE!!  Also, my cholesterol is like awesome!  She did say that I need to increase my  HDL (good cholesterol) as it's a bit low, but she's not too worried about it.  She also said, quickly, that my liver and kidney function tests were normal and my electrolytes were normal.  I suspect that Dr Loggins will go over this stuff in more detail tomorrow at my 2 month check-up!  (2 Months already....it's REALLY hard to believe!!!!!!  WOW!)  I was really excited about the diabetes thing tho!!!!   Thanks for letting me share my good news!!!! Hope everyone is enjoying this WONDERFUL weather!!!!!!!   hugs........Ruth

That is such good news Ruth!!! I have my A1C down to 6.5 and it was 6.8. I was just diagnosed in March and it really scared me. It has gone by awful fast for you. You are doing so GREAT!

Ruth ~ that is FANTASTIC!!!!!   Today's weather was perfect!  I went for my walk at lunch and it was beautiful out.  I may have 3 people join me for my walk tomorrow ~ I'm really excited to maybe have some company even if it's just one day.  The 15 minutes by myself is nice too though but I'm hoping to gain a new friend.  I miss having friends at work to talk to, hardest part of the new job. Anyway...Congratulations on your AWESOME BLOOD WORK RESULTS.
