Getting ready for eye surgery( I am Back home)

Well here I am getting ready for my cataract surgery. I have to be at St. Mary's for 9:00 Dr. Lonsdale will do my right eye then in 2 weeks he will do my left eye. I am a little nervous mostly of the IV they usually have so much trouble with doing them on me. Sometimes it takes up to 6 tries before they get it. By then they wonder why my blood pressure is going up well DUH I wonder LOL....... I keep telling my family they better not try to make me eat a toast before leaving cause there will be a problem~~~~ I can't do bread since the Band,,,,,, Well anyways wish me luck and see you all when I get back    Linda Well I came back home by 11:00 all went well   Wouldn't you know it I met a few people who work in the OR who knew me LOL what a place  to see each other ....I was in the OR for about 10 or 15 minutes and that was it. The IV went in real easy.... Now comes doing all the eye drops.....Thanks for all your kind words..... hoping that when all is done with both eyes I may not need glasses that would be nice.~~~~~~Linda

Good Luck. So sorry to hear you have veins like mine ooof I can relate. Here is hoping the person starting yours is one of the ones who always gets them the first time.

Good luck LInda, you'll be home before you know it.  My little man didnt' complain one time.  You will be so happy once done.  Good luck with the IV, ask for a baby one, that is what they give me.  I can relate.   Honks cheryl
