I found these on the following site:  http://jeanslapbandjourney.blogspot.com/ She has some great basic recipes...most of them are similar to eggface's ricotta fluff but there are some others too. I LOVE turnip and made these tonight.  Super easy and very good alternative to french fries.  Kids didn't even notice the difference. Oven Turnip Fries 1 medium turnip sliced into "fries" 2tbsp lite virgin olive oil 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp garlic powder (onion powder would work too) 1 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp pepper 1 tsp soy flour PreHeat oven to 350  Spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray Toss all ingredients together and spread evenly in a single layer on the cookie sheet Bake for 10 - 12 minutes stir Bake for an additional 10 - 15 minutes until desired tenderness.   Makes 6 equal servings of 1/2 cup each serving ** I left them a little aldente for a little crispness**  WOW they were good with ketchup but I bet they would be even better with ranch!!!

hey, sounds good, except I don't like Turnip, but I LOVE parsnips, so i'm gonna try with those instead.
