DD got the "Athlete of the Week" for softball in the Kennebec Journal!  I'm so proud!   For the week of May 25 through May 31   Softball: Oak Hill's Lauren Hall earned two victories, combining for 19 strikeouts in a 10-0 win over Mt. View and a 10-4 win over Gardiner. She also had four hits and three RBIs.  Thanks for letting me share!!!!!!  WOOHOO!!!  Go OAK HILL!!!  Play-offs bound!!!!!!!

Yay Lauren, you go girl.  How exciting for the whole family!!! Does she keep track of her K's?? My son ,who pitched for Fryeburg Academy and was drafted to Orono, kept track by putting lll/l on the bill of his cap.  I still have it!! and a couple of game balls...ah thoses were the days.  Now I just thank God for the 2 little girls he has for me to love!!

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

Congratulations to your daughter on her achievement. That's quite the feat and job well done! Congratulations too go to a mom who is as involved as you are. You have every right to be proud. I remember when both of my boys played for Elliott Little League. Both were pitchers (and played in the outfield too) My husband  was the score keeper for every one of their games.  They are no longer involved, but the memories remain almost as if it were yesterday. We'll be rooting for her during the playoffs. Anne

Thanks for all the pats on the back and encouragement! She really appreciates it!  She asks about all my "buddies" every day!  She knows how much a part of my life you all are and she thinks it's really cool!  They won tonight and playoffs start next week!  Travel ball starts soon too!  Bring on summer! It's gonna be fun!  Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
