PLEASE HELP ME

i HAVE LOST 200 POUNDS BUT STILL OVER WEIGHT AND i AM HAVING MAJOR ISSUES WITH HANGING SKIN THAT IS CAUSING RASHES AND BACK PROBLEMS MY DOCTOR WANTS ME TO HAVE SOME PROCEDURES DONE. DOES ANYONE ONE KNOW OF AND PLASTIC SURGEONS THAT TAKE MAINCARE OR MEDICARE FOR THIS PLEASE I CANT FIND ONE AND NEED HELP

Not sure I can help but I went thru Dr. Jamie Loggins in Lewiston for my surgery. During his informational seminar he introduced a plastic surgeon from his area. I'm not sure of his name but you could call Dr. Loggins office and ask them. His number 795-5710. They'd be a good place to start. Good luck and congrats on such a huge loss!

You should  check with   Dr  Cloughs office and see who they recommend.   I do know that  there is one in waterville that they like to use but i am sure there are others. Hope this  helps

THANKS FOR THE REPLYS I THINK THAT WE FOUND ONE, ALL THE PEOPLE THAT THE SURGICAL WEIGHTLOSS PROGRAM SUGGESTED WOULDNT TAKE MY INSURANCE SAME AS THE ONES MY DOCTOR RECOMENDED. PEOPLE AT MY DR OFFICE WORKED VERY HARD TODAY AND COULDNT FIND ANYONE LOCAL BUT I NOW HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN YORK WHICH IS VERY VERY FAR AWAY BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT I HOPE!!!!

Good luck to you. Be persistent and you will find someone and the advice to have your PCP document your problems with it is a good one...go back with a complaint every month if you need to! My prayers are with you!

I had Dr. Loggins as well and I recall him saying that if you are having problems with the hanging skin causing rashes and back problems, you should have your pcp document how often it is bothering you and how.  Then if it is documented enough, your insurance may cover the surgery to have the excess skin removed.  Glad that you may have found an MD, even though he/she is far.
