I did it!
Don't know how, but..........60g of protein and 380 calories today!!!! I honestly didn't think it could be done! Let me tell you though....it's gonna cost me a pretty penny if I have to keep eating like this! (I had scallops for supper....very low cal and high protein!) I've been drinking water like it's going out of style too! I still don't like the taste but adding those flavors just seemed like empty calories, so I'm just dealing with the taste. I should probably try to get a bit more protein in with that last 20 calories, just so I can get over the 60g. I don't think that just barely making the lower limit of protein is gonna cut it for very long. If I can get the weight moving downwards again, I'll probably go back to more protein and a few more calories... whaddu all think?

why would it cost you money if your only eating 380 calories, I eat over 200 just at Breakfast, I guess that would explain why i'm not loosing, haha.... is that what your suppose to eat in one day? Wow... if your able to follow that you are an "ANGEL"

That is great Ruth! I think maybe some more protein to be on the safe side would be better for you though. Do you think that staying under 400 is what you need right now to loose. I know that you have been stalled for a little while. What are you using for water flavoring that has calories? How are you feeling with the amount of calories and protein you are taking in? I love your new picture, you do look great!

Thanks gals! When I talked to Corinne yesterday, she said I might be able to break this stall by cutting down to about 400 cals/day (I was averaging about 500-525cals/day for the past coupla weeks). So, thought I'd give it a try for a while. I've not been hungry, just finding it hard to get all the protein in and keep it under the cals for the day. Some of the Crystal light packets I have tried have like 5-10 cals in them, so I've just cut them out for now. I'd rather concentrate on the protein...I'll just deal with the taste of the plain water for now. I think I'll have to up the cals to be able to up the protein more unless I eat scallops for every meal..haha! They DID taste good for supper though! I'll let you know if this works or not! Thanks! Heck I still don't get all my protein from food. If I could eat breakfast I may be able to get all my protein in from food, but I feel icky all day if I eat before 10:00. And still if I try getting all my protein from food I end up lacking in fluid for the day. I guess I need to plan a little better??
WOW, I didn't realize you were eating so little, that is insane, I can't imagine your body knows what to do??!! If we don't absorb about a 1/3 of what we eat that means you are only getting in 270 calories or so. That is not enough and your body is going to go on shut down. ARe you still drinking some of your protein? I have a shake for breakfast, with 8 oz of skim milk which starts me out with 38 gr of protein right off the bat. Then I can get the protein from food the rest of the day. I am going to start tracking today to see how I am doing with calories, really have no idea, have concentrated on the protein and fluids. I use Crystal light ice tea for my water, love it not going to give that up, 5 cals?? you'll burn that off by sneezing.
Slow and steady is the key, our bodies really will do what we are asking if we are patient and take good care of her.

I am sorry, here but i have to agree with your Kate, that seems so little as far as calories, besides all the exercise you (Ruth) gets in. I am just concerned... JMO and NO, I'm not a Nutrisionist, and I guess the weight loss is wonderful and primary goal here, but think of your organs and health too.... Ruthie Baby !! I'm worried about you toots... and yes, I'm jealous too...hehe, just be careful. just the mama in me..

Just an FYI I was at riteaid the other day and found a protien water that was 80 calories but also 20g of protein. The brand was Stacker2 and the flavor I got was sour apple. I will tell you do not smell it before you drink it (smell nasty but taste ok).
I can not drink plain water it makes me nausious.
