This week has been really rough!  Thank you ALL for your kind words and encouragement!  You'll never know how much I appreciate it! Going back to work this week has been tough! Besides the fact that I miss being home (hey Kate, yeah, the boredom on day 3 of being home DID go away!!!!), being back at work and juggling work, paperwork, kids, homework, softball games and practices, laundry, supper, exercise, and MY own foods....I am just TIRED!  I thought I was ready for work, but it's all pretty busy!  I'll get used to it again, but it's going to be a transition, that's for sure! So, for the wicked bummer part!  A few weeks ago, I had a follow up with the doc about my CPap. She said that she couldn't tell me NOT to wear the cpap as she thought I still has issues at night. Last week, I got a pulse oximeter in the mail and had to wear it overnight as I slept so they could have a record of my oxygen saturation. I sent it back after I had slept with it and figured it would be a while before I heard anything......WELL!!!!  I got a call from the doctor's office this morning!  NOT GOOD!  I NEED to put that silly thing back on!!!!!!  Apparently, my oxygen level drops into the 80's (%) as I sleep...usually as I am dreaming, they think.  I even dropped down into the 60's at one point during the night!!!!!!!  So.....to put off death a bit longer....she highly recommends that I use the cPap every night again!!!!!!    I am SOOOOOOO bummed about this!  I really thought losing this weight would keep me off that thing!  Guess I haven't lost enough yet!  So....my nights of freedom are over and I am going back to restless nights with my cranky machine!  Wish me luck!  I'm gonna need it!!!!!!!!

oh, Ruth, I can imagine how dissapointing that must be.  I never had to get tested, i'm starting to wonder if I should have.  with all the walking and working out you have done, I can't help but think your lungs must be is top shape.  Geee I could die in my sleep.... yikes !!!  Ruth, you know how important this is being in the health field, but i know is Suks rocks having to wear contraptions to bed.  YOu;ve lost all this weight and are feeling sexy and now you got this Astronaut mask to wear.  Gee, who ever invented that one must hate intimacy, what you think??  maybe your husband can get one too, then you can play spaceship. yooohooo!!!!  think of the possibilities.  On a good note, "How the Hell are those tomatoes"???  Love ya, hugs  Cheryl

I will bring you a whole bunch of tomatoes to the summer gathering from my  Dad's garden. They are delish!   I am sorry about that test.  Give it some more time.  I never had a sleep test, but I often wonder because I have woken up gasping for air more than a few times.  I still do even 155 lbs down.

HI    tiggrpt My lung doctor wont even  test me  until fall or i lose more belly fat.  My problem was not so much sleep apnea but  my oxygen level  dropped when i slept and that is hard on your heart.  He assured me that  after i lost more weight i probably wont need it.  It does bug me a lot and I try to be complient with it.   I start off with it on and when it wakes me up because the pressure is too high   then i take it off.   That is any where from three to  4 hours later. I  do know that they want it on for at least  4 hours.   I  try to be complient but   it does not always work.  I use  nasal pillows.  ie  the  opus mask  and I like that the best.  the  nasal mask and the full face  really make me claustrophobic, So i feel your pain and just think about me  plugging into it every nite too.  You are not alone.

Yeah, that is a bummer but not a setback-you have lost a kazillion pounds and are feeling so much better. I too had wicked fatique after I went back to work.  Istarted taking B12 for that, not really noticing a big difference yet, but figured it wouldn't hurt. Figuring out the food thing takes alot of energy. Good luck with the astronaut thingy...hmmmmm....too many images come to mind... k

It was magic when she realized who she had become...
