I'm baaack...kinda!

Hello dearies,

Thought I would give you a quick update and let you know that I am trying to catch up on reading all your posts. Not sure I can go back and respond to them all but know that I am here supporting everyone in prayer and welcoming the newbies! The next couple of week s are still pretty hectic for me since I am writing my ordination paper (a really big deal!) and have to go to New York City for two days next week...not that I am complaining about either! But here's a quick update...

If you saw the Bangor Daily News on May 20th you know that I survived my Moose attack and graduated from seminary on the 16th! My insurance company fixed my Forester (YAY!) and I got it back yesterday. I spent the last two weeks on vacation in Boston and Minneapolis and saw lots of good friends and family. I came home to my appointment with Dr Huang and was scared that I had gained some of the 13 lbs I lost before my 2nd nutritionist appt  back while I was on vacation, but much to my delight I had lost another 7 lbs! I was also worried that he would require proof that I have been compliant with my bipap machine and I have not even come close. I gave up on it for the past month with so much other stuff going on and I am going to try it again starting tonight. I really dislike it. Ugh! But he didn't say a word, just that I was a great candidate for laparoscopic RNY and they have submitted my case for approval to MaineCare. Said it was taking nearly a month for that to go through and then it depends on his availability when I get scheduled. I think he only does this surgery on Fridays and limits his Mainecare patients because of reimbursement issues so I am not sure when that will happen. I am hoping for August, but we will see. I imagine he will take a vacation and that would prolong it.

I am looking forward to the summer gathering and meeting all you lovely ladies. It is the day before my birthday (someone else's birthday is on the 20th I believe) and I will pretend the party is for me too! Well, it is isn't it? A wonderful celebration for all of us here on this Maine board. So much support and caring from you all! A lot to celebrate!

WElcome back, I have been thinking of you, checking in often to see if you've added a vlog.  I've gotten addicted to watching Aprils vlogs too, such a smart young woman.  I know you've been pretty busy.  We are all still hanging out here, finally nice weather, I've been outside alot more with gardens and such.  Glad your vacations was nice, you certainly deserved it.  enjoy your trip next week.  we'll still be here when you come back home.  I know I will.... can't wait to see you in Aug. too.  My Dgt's birthday is on the 20th, I think I might have said that once??? not sure.... well, have a great week, hugs and honks, Cheryl

So glad you are "kinda" back!  I've missed you!  I can't wait to meet you AND everyone else this summer also!  Sounds like things are falling into place with the doc and surgery!  Time does fly..especially this time of year when the weather is nice!  Have fun in all your travels!  Travel safely..of course!  Glad to hear you are doing well!   Ruth

ya your back .. we all missed you .... well sorry about the car and moose attack ... i can't wait to meet all of u guys this summer too .. also way to go on losing 7 more lbs  and seeing the surg  but ya it is taking a while for mainecare ... i just got my letter from them the end of last week.. and i saw dr clough on april 28 .. so i am now waitting on them to call me with a date yahoo..
