Moose attack for Commencement

Hello dearies,

Well, the time draws near. Commencement is Friday in Portland and so much has happened that there is no room to tell it all...but here are some highlights...

1 - papers all done and passed in! Will be graduating with a 3.8 gpa! Whoulda thunk?

2- invited to preach for the trustees at BTS...what an honor!

3 - invitations to Commencement mailed and have about 20 family and friends coming to celebrate with me on Friday! I am blessed!

4-My son is bringing his first really serious girlfriend and I get to finally meet her. She seems lovely!

5 - Vacation plans have gone awry. My friend that was driving across country with had a death in the family and can't go now. 8^) I am going anyway, and it will be GREAT, but just not in the same way.

6 - Last Tuesday a moose hit my forester broadside on I-95 (I was going about 65 mph) right at the driver's side door. All I saw coming into the corner of my left eye was a HUGE looming shadow. Then I felt the impact and both front and rear driver's side windows imploded and the windshield shattered. My two simultaneous thoughts were "If this guy flips onto my windshield I am dead!" and "Now you take me after I have passed in my last paper??" I walked away without a scratch and they didn't total my car (and  trust me they could have) so I am driving a rent-a-wreck till I come back from vacation. Be careful out on these roads, friends. Moose are everywhere!

7- Still having bipap issues and put it aside until after commencement. I meet with Dr. Huang on the 27th. Hopefully my non-compliance won't hold me up too long.

8 - I miss you all and have been reading your posts and messages to me. Thank you all for not forgetting me, as I have not forgotten any of you. I am keeping you all in my prayers and send you all hugs and moral support!

9 - I haven't seen anything about a definite date and place for the summer gathering. Did I miss it?

OMG Terry I jus****ched your vlog, I thought the same thing you did, "NOW, SHE'S JUST FINISHING UP HER SCHOOL"  those moose are very bad, very good friends of ours, lost their dgt on turnpike when she hit a moose, it was aweful.  so happy you came to visit.  enjoy Friday, Congratulations...

Thank you Cheryl. Yes it was scary but I am fine. I am glad you watched my VLOG. I have been absent from my YouTube community as well. I didn't post the link to the VLOG here this time because it felt like I was just posting here to point people there and that it was all about me! So I figured I would catch you all up the old fashioned way. But anyone who is interested in my VLOGs can just click on the link below or in my profile and keep up with me if they want to. If I get back to doing them, that is!

I will be back after my vacation though. And I am so happy you will have your fill sooner rather than later, I know you were upset about that. How are your gardens? I can't wait to see pics as the summer progresses. maybe we can meet one day halfway between our homes, huh? I would love to meet you!
