update on my mom

I spoke with my mom this morning.  She said the pain meds are making her naseaus.  She said she is taking the pain meds more for her back pain than her stomach ha ha.  She just can't seem to get comfortable...never did get to try her side.  She walked 30 feet last night and has been up sitting in the chair.  She said she will be walking at least 3 times today and is feeling better.  I will get to go see her after hubby gets home from work this afternoon.  Might even bring the babes to see their grammie :)

Sorry to hear your mom is feeling icky sick. I felt that way from the anesthesia Dr L had them put a motions sickness patch behind my ear and I felt tons better after that. I only used the pain meds after dry heaving ooooof so I know it was just from anesthesia. Hope she feels better sooon. Send her hugs n honks for us.

oh, that is too bad.  I'm so sorry.  does she have a room mate?  I was so affraid to not have a roomate I knew. and ended up with the best, we we'ren't only roomates but support mates.  we went to pee at the same time, and walked together all night long.  JIll was the best.  Hope mama feels better soon.  Tell her we send our Honks.......Cheryl

What great news! I'm so glad that she's doing ok!!! How are YOU holding up??? I know I'll be pretty nervous when it's my mom's turn next month!

I'm great.  So glad it went smoothly and she is feeling better every hour.  She walked quite a bit while I was there this afternoon.  We will be glad to have her home tomorrow afternoon!

tanya, I hve a whole bottle, actually 2 of those liquid pain meds dr. L prescribed, if your mom wants them, I can drop them off tomorrow I"m going into town around 10.  better then having to buy them..

I had issues with the pain meds too and Dr L changed them...even though I didn't use them much!  Hope she starts feeling better with the back pain!  Tell her I'm thinking about her.... hugs and honks!!!!!  Ruth
