HI All,  Just wanted to let you all know I got home yesterday and I'm doing well.  I had a scary episode with tremendous gas pain but was able to pass a lot of it.  I feel ok but drinking is A LOT  more difficult than I thought..  I had great nurses in the ICU.  I never did get moved to a different room.  They kept saying how proud they were of me and that I was doing better than a lot of their bariatric patients.  They told me they had a patient wo family member brought them chocolate bars!!!!  Can you imagine?!!!!  I have a little pain, but for the most part trying to burp is the worst part. The super news is I've lost 4lbs!!!!!!!  I was expecting to gain but actually lost!!!!!  I want to thank you all for your well wishes and prayers and support.  Ruth I received the card and picture last night.  You all are lovely!!!  I hope everyone is doing fine and that you all have a great week!!!!!

Glad to have you back home safe and sound. Take it slow and easy with the sipping. You may find that drinking warm stuff is easier then cold.:-)

Keela!  So glad you are home and doing well!  Sipping is the hardest part once you get home...just keep at it!  It DOES get easier!  Then tougher again once you start with some foods!  Sorry!  The gas pain was the worst for me too...the surgery itself wasn't that bad!  Remember to keep walking...change postitions frequently...it WILL help with the gas!  Enjoy being home!  Congrats on having lost 4 lbs too!  That's amazing!  You are doing really well!  Keep it up!  honk!  Ruth

Hi  MACISMOM Glad you are home and on the  losers bench with us.   Yes    it is harder to  drink at first then  we seem to think.   Because it is so natural to do we think we will be able to do that  but  noooooo it is harder than we think.  But every day keeps getting better so sip sip sip   all the time. Have a great day!!!!!
