so, as many of you have heard, my friends who cause problems with my son and his girlfriend, when they decided to take them out to dinner, and then showed up in Massachussets at girlfriend's/Parents house to meet then and play cards, all behind our back.  Well, all our hurt feelings have been discussed and resolved with son and girl, but nothing was said with friends, we have just avoided them.  so, today is their dgt's graduation party.  I"m not too excited about going, but for their dgt.'s sake we will go, we will be late due to dh working till 3 and having to come home to shower and drive 20 mins. into town.  But, that being said, she sent me an e mail this week and said, "Pete (DH) told me you probably won't be coming to the party"... is this true?  My DH, never said that, he did say he might have to work and would be late.  I'm kinda feeling she don't want us there, plus she called and invited my dgt. on Thurs. for a sat. party.  Grrrr, believe me, i'm not staying long, I can come up with excuses just as good as she can.  Plus all the booze and food floating around Is not good for me right at this point.  Don't you agree?? hehe, love you all, have a great day.  Cheryl

HI Cheryl, I must have missed what happened but that doesn't matter.  You need to take care of you.  Go for the dgt's sake, say your congratulations and leave.  Life is too short to be with people who don't make you feel good.  Hope your day goes well.  Hugs

Hope all goes well. I know how rough it is to be around people when you are not comfortable around them. Just go like Stephanie said and leave.
