By myself for surgery....

Hi Bridget, We are all so different...I DID NOT want my DH there.  He brought me and stayed until Dr. Loggins came out and said everything went well, and he left.  I absolutely wanted no one to come to the hospital...so they dididn't,,,I live an hour + away and they all work.  Came home on Wednesday, DH picked me up and stayed with me, then Thursday Dagt in law took a day off and stayed with me and Friday I was on my own.  Did fine...I think I mentioned in my blog or here, that the day I was alone, I found myself a little paranoid. But that passed. So, I think you will be fine...if your hospital is as wonderful as CMMC..you will be just fine. Best of luck... kate

I wouldn't worry so much about not having anyone at the hospital.  It is nice to know that DH will be home with the children.  With the lapband, we went home the next day after the xray test.  You just need to get yourself up and walking as soon as possible and your hospital recovery will be quick, and you will be home before you know it.  Just make sure that you have your husbands support when you get home especially if your children are small.  Good luck!!
