I know, I know,  blah blah, he is only doing it for my own good.... !!!! but after posting and asking questions on the band forum i've seen all banders get their fill a month to 6 weeks out.  Geee, I have to wait almost 3 months, July 10th  No wonder he tried to talk me out of the band.  probably cause alot get discouraged and gain weight.  I'm sorry, just my opinion.  I really believe 3 months is a little extreme.  grrrrrrrr  I know his staff might read this, but I think it is also important that they understand how hard this is on us, with no restriction and only trying to eat 600 calories.

u have a right to ur feeling .. i think 3months for a fill and being on 600 calories would be hard sence there is nothing stoping u now ... i would think a fill would come a lot sooner then 3 months .. but that my feeling too..

Hey Cheryl! I know this has been tough on you!  It would be tough for anyone!!!!  600 cals..sheesshh, with no restriction!!  YIKES!  I know there HAS to be a reason for it, though I don't know what it is!  Maybe Corrinne can shed some light on that for you tomorrow night?  Keep hanging in there!  hugs and honks!!!!!!!!  Ruth

It is starting to get hard to not have the fill.  I wish that we could have it sooner as well.  When they gave me the appointment, I said "July?  I thought it was supposed to be mid June?" and I was told that he is at conferences towards the end of June and that is why we need to wait until July.  I wish they could do it at least at the beginning of June.

I asked dr about it and he said most people who have early fills end up having problems, therefore HE normally waits.  and I also asked about the 600 cal. and Corinne said if you want to loose you have to.  I agree, I want to loose but I couldn't have done 600 calories before the surgery now why would I be able to now./??  just trying to hang in there was just venting. thanks guys..

you know if you want to loose you can't restrict to that severe amount! It will set your body up to stay in starvation mode.... be very careful, and look or talk to the dietician at your PCP's!!!

My Nutritionist is the one who told me 400-600 cal. believe me, I was in shock, especially not having any restriction in my band yet.  But I am trying, but i'm eating at the least 800 now, average, but I know no matter if I stay the same or gain, I will  be cause im not doing as I was told...but I feel like i'm setting myself up to cheat at 600. i'm hungry.  i'll just do the best I can right now.
