Whole wheat pita pocket bread

This is the only thing  that i can eat like a sandwich that i tolerate well.   I  february i could only eat  a quarter of a packet  now i can eat  a half of one.     and some   cottage cheese. I cant tolerate the pita s that well yet but do fine with flat bread though. Funny how people are different it is such an interesting journey.I do like Pita bread though and maybe when I am further out I will be able to handle it.

Hello, I hope your support group goes well!! I'm like Kathy and can't tolerate pita or other  breads but can do the flat bread.  I've come to love the low carb wheat wraps with turkey and cheese, I have it 3-4 times a week for lunch.  I'm almost 13 months out and still can't tolerate any bread except toasted and that is only one slice as long as it has peanut butter or jam on it ~ butter makes me feel yucky.

flat roll up bread, when I went to boston Pre op, I ordered a rollup in a restaraunt and it was awesome, I made it here and was great, I will share, so easy. fresh asparagus, cooked in 1t oil and garlic, till fork tender roll up in flat bread with Feta cheese and think sliced tomato roll up and enjoy !!!!  was awesome

Before my surgery I found soy protein pitas at Hannaford...Of course I cant even try them for a while but Im curious if anyone else has tried them...
