I started the refried bean puree as well. I was craving the tomato based stuff as well. I used a mild salsa and put it in the food processor then mixed it with some sour cream and it went down fine. I tried spaghetti sauce but was unable to do that (still can't) because of the sugar. I make my own though with no sugar (have been for years). Can't do spaghetti though so I don't make it often because it's just a torture for me ~ I'm Italian and so miss my pasta!!!
in the pureed stage i had spaghetti sauce with ricotta and mozz. cheese melted in the microwave. it was awesome and i had no problem with it. i used barilla as it seemed to have the lowest sugar content.
of course i couldn't only have about 2 ounces at a time and that included the whole mixture. i might have had a tablespoon or so of the sauce.
