Any magic # where the pounds came off faster

I was just replying to Cheryl (mamag) and her post got me thinking. I am curious to know if any of you hit a certain number, and then all the sudden the pounds started coming off faster/easier?  Or maybe it was after a certain amount of time (your body was no longer in shock ans started 'eating' it's reserves (fat) like crazy? I am averaging about 2.5 pounds per week.  Some weeks it is 3, some 1 (this includes the first few weeks in the calculation where I lost 5 and 4).  Like I was saying to Cheryl, I am noticing it in how I look/feel, and in my clothes.  So I am psyched that I am seeing the results, just wondering if the scale catches up.  Or if you got to a point and you got on the scale and all of the sudden started losing 3-4 pounds per week for awhile. Just curious.

yea, great point tanya, I am sure it will be slower for me, but still the concept of dropping at certain points could be interesting.  I have read on  the Band Forum that it is very common for Band patients to actually Gain weight before they get a good restriction which could be up to 2 month.  SO it will be very important to try and continue doing what I did pre op as close as I can.  That is why i'm having a hard time cause my tummy feels NO different and just liquids is not cutting it.  but hopfully Loggins will give me fills ASAP. probably 4 weeks, some wait much longer. but again, its all individualized.  My mind need to stay possitive and that i've had the surgery, so that is only step one, then onward with the journey.  I am anxious to see everyone's input to see if everyone has the same pattern.  Thanks, cheryl

2 to 3 pounds a week is what I average and have from the beginning. Only twice I have lost 4 in a week. 2 pounds a week is a healthy loss for a week. As long as the scales are still going down I am happy. Heck as long as it isn't going up I am happy. Tanya I really don't think there is any magic #. I do find that I actually lose better if I am at the upper end of my calorie range. Especially if I have worked our hard that day.   If you do find a magic # let me know lol Id be happy to try it too.

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but I lose 2 pounds a week on average. I lost 21 pounds the first 22 days and then it immediately slowed to 2 pounds a week. Sometimes it is only 1 pound, but generally it is 2 pounds. That's it.  BUT, slow and steady wins the race (like already said). I'll take it ... because even at 2 pounds a week I still hit that 100 pound lost mark. :) AND have gone from a 26 plus to a 12 misses. That's better than 10 pounds a week in my book! :)  Your body will do what it wants in the time period it wants! :)

Really you know 2-3 pounds a week isnt bad. With 150 lbs to lose, you would lose your excess weight in a year which isnt long at all....if you think about it in the big perspective its not so bad.......I dont think anyway...
