Shopping WOW!!!

Went shopping at the Maine Mall yesterday with the family.  Decided I would try on some jeans.  Grabbed a 14, slid right off me, said what the heck, I will try a 12.  OMG they fit very comfortably and they weren't even stretch.  Holy Macaroni!!  I haven't fit in a 12 since before I had kids. Then went to Victoria Secrets to get fitted for a new bra, not quite sure where my boobs went, but I got one 3 cup sizes smaller.  So I have to say my first shopping experience since surgery was a total success.     Missi

OMG Missy, I got fitted there 2 years ago and since then it has been my biggest pet peeve.  I dont' believe woman know what a bra is suppose to fit like until they get one of theirs,  they did fit me, but sent me over to Lane Bryant to get the bra cause they didnt' carry my size (Too big bOOBED).  So please if you tug and hang and have bumps all over, please do yourself a favor and get fitted there.  and you know what, I always bought my bra's at Penney's and spend $30 a shot, I thought I had a good bra.  My sister in law, (rich, fussy and thinks she is perfect) needs a fitting so bad, and I've told her a few times to go with her dgt. for a field trip, and she don't think she needs to.  I can't tell you how wonderful they are, and HOW LONG they last.  Please girls, do yourself a favor and get your girls a new bra that makes you look 20 lbs. lighter and better posture.  It is really worth the $30.

I have always bought mine at Panney's too...the minimizer ones.  I went to VS once and felt so bad.  I was actually looking for a perfume for a gift and the lady came right up to me and said "We probably don't have any undergarments in the panties or bras that will fit you, but Lane Bryant has a nice selection."  I was soooooo annoyed and my feelings were hurt.  I only wanted a stinkin perfume.  What you have to humiliate people because they are overweight without even knowing what they are there for?!  I vowed I would never go back...and haven't.  Maybe when I get small enough I will...but I was so annoyed at the time (years ago).

oh, well I can totally understand why you feel that way.  there was alot of skinny B stuff, hehe, thongs and whatevers, but I was with a friend and we did alot of laughing.  I went to get fitted, and she told me up front, I will gladly measure and give you a size then you can order on line OR go to Lane Brayant.  she was an older woman (well my age) and was very nice.  some young chickies dont' have any clue.  i'm sorry you had that experience cause it really was a life changing event getting a nice fitting bra.  now I know my size, well, until I loose weight, and I just go on line and order the same style.  but they last forever, I am amazed. 

I love their bras.  I was fitted a while ago and Cheryl is right they are the best bras and they do last forever.  As far as the size, I got the C cup I need and a bra strap extender to make it a 40-42 from the 38 they carry.  I love these and won't wear anything else.  I hate to spend a lot of money, and pretty much have to fight with dh everytime I need bras, but sometimes they have great sales.  I've gotten three bras before for a little more than the regular price of one!!! 

missi, that is wonderful. i know how excited i was when i tried on a 16 and they fit. i need a bra fitting but am waiting til i get closer to my goal. then i'll invest in a good bra or two. congrats on your weight loss.
