HI I just bought the Sunbeam "Kitchen Assistant" heritage series at Walmart today and before i took everything out of the packaging, I read the directions.  It says it's for chopping, mixing, pureeing, etc., but then it says it's not for mixing liquids.  I bought it to do all of the above, especially to blend the protein shakes, because lumps are not my thing.  It's strang because it looks like a little blender, so I don't know why I couldn't mix up the shakes.  I was originally going to buy the magic bullet but this was half the price and it seems to be the same concept.  Plus I like that this had 6 small graduated containers with covers, so I know how much I'm mixing.  Have any of you purchased one of these and used it to blend up your shakes?  Does it leak or not blend up well?  I really don't want to spend $50 on the magic bullet (yah it's $60 everywhere else but Walmart).  Let me know.  Oh, by the way, my surgery is in 11 days!!!! for my shakes i used a shaker from protein section at walmart. it has a screen in the top to break up the protein. i also get my powdered protein from gnc and it disolves very nicely. it's very tasty and creamy. no chunks at all.

i've also heard the magic bullet is wonderful but i never bought one. they are quite pricey. i know they are cheaper on ebay.

I got a shaker at GNC with a wire basket that works great to break up lumps...What I have found really helpful now, tho, is a little chopper from Bladk and Decker, I am pureeing with it, and turning oatmeal into flour for a muffin recipe. So if doesn't work for shakes it will when you are out a littler further ...

It was magic when she realized who she had become...
