Cheryl and Jill!  Keep your chins up and keep walking!  My first day home was the worst with the gas pain!  The more I walked, the distention and gas just seemed to keep building up!  My second night home, I slept on the loveseat, half sitting up and half on my side and that really seemed to help move some of the gas! (Mine was mostly burping tho.....)  It DOES get better!  My suggestion...short, frequent walks and keep sipping!  By the second or third day home, the gas was much better, less distention in the belly and I felt like I was making progress!  I feel for you!  Hugs.......and Honks too!  Ruth

Thank you Ruth, i am feeling much better this morning, still a little gas but nothing like yesterday.  Was your tummy all black and blue?  my left side is all black.  I plan on getting out as soon as it warms up a little and get my first walk in.  Wish we lived closer.  I'd have you over for a protein shake. haha..... have a great day.  I can't wait to start dropping the weight, seems like with what i've eaten this past week I should have dropped a little by now.  Can you tell I'm anxious?  Enjoy your day.  My gas also was mostly burps, but a few farts, did help (hehe TMI)  I slept great last night, even on my side, and didnt' need to wake up DH to help me up, i'm sure he was glad.  ttyl  Cheryl

Glad you are feeling better Cheryl!  My belly was a little black and blue, but not a lot by any means.  I was actually more bruised from the Lovenox demons than anything!  haha   You'll lose Cheryl!  Be patient!    It's funny, cuz I was thinking the same thing this morning about getting together for a protein drink!  haha  Maybe we'll have to plan something for next week once the kids are back in school and things are a little quieter!  I don't mind driving over there!  Enjoy this wonderful weather EVERYONE!!!!!!!!   Have a great day!  Ruth

So sorry you have so much bruising Cheryl . The left side is where the bigger tools are used . I didn't have to deal with the bruising. Very soon it will seem like a dream though. Time has a way of zooming by without us noticing it. Suppose I should say without me noticing. Hard to believe it has almost been 4 months since my surgery. Get up and walking today girls it is another beautiful day.:-)
