I felt like I did a million sit ups for about 3 weeks!!!! I had decaf coffee while still in the hospital with protein powder supplied by Dr. Loggins.  Sipped it SLOWLY like everything else and reheated it several times to get through 4 ounces.  Good thing my DH didn't mind making trips to the micro.  Mix the protein powder with either milk or cold water before adding it to the hot coffee or it will clump. I'm sure you can have a decaf and count it towards your fluid intake.  Funny, I can't even remember how my stomach felt now.  I am sure I was sore though.  Take it easy...lots of rest.
