very moving

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otkeS1KRvIU&feature=related be aware this is very moving, sad, hard to see and hear, but boy, I can so relate to this young woman.  she is only 6 days post op.  If you dare watch this, lets talk about it. how do you feel about what she is going thru?? 

WOW!!  I HAD to go watch!  She had surgery the same day I did and I can't believe what she is eating!  I really think she needs to call her doc!!!!!  I think her little tummy nerves are messing with her! I just hope she doesn't stretch her pouch and give herself even more problems!  It IS pretty sad though!  I think I would probably feel the same sense of failure if I was able to eat like that right now!  I am so NOT hungry, it's hard to get all my fluids and protein in!  I even stay up later than I would like at night to make SURE I have my fluids in and I keep something by the bed at night in case I wake up, I can start my sipping early!  I just hope she finds some peace and some answers from her doc!  Cheryl....one of the big things that I think is gonna help us through all this is that we ALL have each other!  I hope she has someone she can talk to!!  hugs! Ruth, I went to her profile and she actually comes on OH all the time.  Although she said it wasn't head hunger I think it was,  this is much more then just our belly's,  Look at all the girls who have lost so much and still feel fat, or dont see themselves as being small, it takes a long time to wrap our brains around the whole process.  even though we think we got it???  we all will have our bad days.  yes, I am so thankful to have you guys,   on another note, "Im freezing"....hehehe

Wow you first thing that came to my mind is that she is not getting her fluids and protein all in. After what 13 weeks I still have only had maybe 3 times where I actually felt hungry. Honestly at 6 days out the only signs you get that you are full is burping or something like that your stomach isn't healed enough to recognize fullness. It is true maybe her surgery possibly she had very little swelling that is common with this surgery. I really feel for her but can't help but thinking it is head hunger. Must be so hard for her but seems like she is setting herself up to fail. 

I was kinda thinking what you two said too!  I think part of it IS head hunger and I don't know how she could be hungry if she is getting her protein and fluids in!  I sure hope she gets to talk to her doctor!   Cheryl!  Sorry you are cold!  Yikes!  Been there, done that!  Not a good feeling, but it does pass pretty quickly!  The worst is past once you are cold!  It's all downhill from here!

baby wipes, desitin, soft toilet paper..... or maybe a bidet (if you have one!)  It DOES get better!  Sorry you are hurting!  honks!!!!!!!!

Kinda like a reverse toilet.....cleans your backside with water  (I've never tried one, but heard they work well?!?)  Not sure if I spelled that right either..sorry   Try this for more info:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bidet

Ruth, Thank you for the link. That is pretty neat. I don't think I'd wash baby or my feet in one of them tho. lol Kathi when your in Paris, will you look and see if they still have them? If I saw one I woulnd't know what to think of it. lol I wonder if they work well. ~dori~
