Hospital Stay

Do they allow you to have anyone in your room with you....like a friend or spouse or not...I know by the way you have talked that there are roomates, so I was thinking they probably dont allow it...Thanks...Angela

At CMMC, which is where I was, you weren't allowed to have anyone sleep in the room unless you had a private room.  They did have family waiting rooms, solarium, and Arbor House for people who needed a place though.  I think some hospitals will allow you to pay the difference to get the private room though!  Good luck!   Ruth

Same thing for me at Maine General they charge you $75 a night for a private room with no guarantees. I had one my first night and my girlfriend stayed with me but they couldnt find a cot so she had to sleep in a recliner thingy and I felt so bad for her! I gave it up the second night but they can remove you if someone requires a private room, like has something contageous or something weird like that. The lady who got my private room everyone wore yellow things in there and they had a stop sign on her door so I dunno what that was all about but Im sure it required the private room for reasons other than company :o)
