I DID IT!!!!!!

My mom has already read me the riot act, but I did it anyways!  I got in the car and drove to Hannaford to pick up a few things!  (I haven't had any pain meds since Weds evening.) Pushing the cart was the toughest because, of course, I got one that always wanted to go sideways! Typical! haha   I didn't pick up much but it felt SOOOOOOOOO  good to get out of the house and see people and cars and just everything!  (Did you guys realize how weird it smells in Hannaford!  hahaha  I know that's one of the senses that gets more keen after surgery, but it really hit me when I walked in there!)  btw..Val's  is open (it's an old mom and pop type drive up burger joint that the kids and I used to go to alot!  They still hang the tray off your window like the old A&W places!  Good stuff....of the past!  woohoo!)  So, I'm back home, feeling fine, sipping away still! (Yes!  I brought my drink into Hannaford with me and sipped while I was there too!)  It was fun!  Off to a softball game later today and a double header tomorrow!  WOO HOO!  I can't wait!  I am loving this wonderful weather!                                                                                     Oh yeah..spring must have sprung while I was in the hospital too...my daffodils are up and OPEN!  They are so pretty!  AND.....the workers are outside cleaning all the sand off the shoulders of the roads out here!  Guess I won't have to go walking in the beach sand after today!  YIPPEE!  Can life get any better???                                     Have a great day everyone!   Ruth

I was careful Kate..I promise!  Just bought bread, yogurt and such for the family..nothing heavy. DH had me call him once I got there and once I got home too.  I won't be driving for a while again anyways..no need. your awesome Ruth, if you can do what you've done, after 6 hours of surgery, replumbing, and lots of cutting... I'm only hoping to be 1/2 as energetic as you.  I"ve been outside rakeing up sand and old lawn, got lots more so I only do a little at a time. but phew am I out of yardwork shape. I"ve got my seeds and soil and little trays ready and waiting for next week's easy project.  so ready for flowers, I am loving this weather too, can't wait to be all healed.   keep up the great work, be careful.... hugs and honks from me too.... You are still healing inside Ruth so please be very careful. Sometimes a little pain is a good thing keeps us going a little slower. Remember everything is still kind of in shock on your insides. You probably wouldn't feel it even if you did hurt yourself. Just concerned for you is all and no riot act. Be good to yourself.  Oof so maybe a little riot act. I am sorry just worried. We want you around a long time Honk!!

very naughty. you have just had major surgery. a gift! you risk complications if you don't take time to heal properly. you need to be careful!
