What to expect at the meeting with the team?  Ok all you post ops what happens at the meeting? I'm so excited I can't wait.  What are the tests all about?  My goodness I should think we've had all the testing we would ever need......... I know about the bowel prep, what else should I expect?  I'm sorry I haven't posted in a long time work is pretty much consuming my life at the moment.  I can't wait to be out and on leave, need to regroup.  Let me hear all and everything.  Thanks for all your support.  Don't know what I would do without this group. Judy, I just went to mine on tues.  it was nothing, they weighed me, Chrytals expalined everything I had to do for prep and shots, Corinne came in and talked about how i was doing and if i had any questions for post op diet, pretty much the same as RNY, and Dr. came in, checked my heart and lungs, talked about surgery, made me sing concent forms, then I went to hosp. for chest, ekg, bloodwork.  all went great, execpt for waiting, forever.  it will be fine.  real close now girl.... ehehehe

Hi Judy!  My pre-op meeting kinda went like Cheryl's except I had already met with Corrinne in the morning.  Dr L goes over all the consents, checks your heart, lungs, belly, answers any questions. Crystal goes over the Lovenox stuff, bowel prep, gives you the prescriptions you need to have filled and stuff.  It' pretty low key!  If you are worried, bring someone with you to help you remember all the details, but it is all written down for you.  Don't expect to get out of the hospital as quickly as the doctor's office, especially if you have to have the chest xray.  I didn't need another one..I just had an interview with the RN about my medical and surgical history, EKG, and blood work.  Kinda routine stuff!   Exciting though...you'll be one step closer!  Time flies from here!  Good luck and keep us posted!  Ruth

well, I hate to disagree with Ruth, but I sat in small room waiting for Dr. L for 45 mins. before anyone walked in for me.  I was ready to  go out and complain, then it took 55 mins to meet them all after that, then the hospita was almost as bad with the waiting.

That's really odd!  I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes...TOPS to see anyone in the office!  The hospital was definitely a different story though!  Be prepared to wait there!  I spent about 30 mins with Corrinne in the morning and then about 45 minutes with Dr L and Crystal in the afternoon...prolly comes out to about the same!     Cheryl??  US?? Disagree?  haha   ...you crack me up!   Ruth
