Pedometer Challenge
Hi all over on the lightweight board we are starting a pedometer challenge to see how much we are off our tushies during the day. You all wanna try or just stick to minutes per month? Just a thought I think the step thing will be fun. Just clip the pedometer on in the am and take it off at night. See just how many miles you get in in a average day.
2000 to 2500 steps = 1 mile
10,000 steps= 4 to 5 miles.
I like that idea.......although I'm ahead of you, as I've been wearing mine almost everyday since I started my job at Hannaford. Most days, I average around 12,000 steps! Days off I tend to walk less ( for some reason
but that's not always the case. On my last day off, I had a doctor's appointment at CMMC. My husband drove me down but I told him I'd walk home. ( I live approximately 1 1/2 miles from CMMC up Main St. ) So there are days when I'm off from work that I do get a fairly good amount of walking in.
I'm keeping a log of steps walked daily as well as a weekly total and I challenge myself to try and exceed that each week. So far, so good.
My husband just pointed out to me that I've been incorrect when doing my math with regards to how far out I am from surgery. (Figures....he's a math whiz!****ep thinking I am going to be 8 months out as of the 30th of this month when, in actuality I'll be a full 9 months out! (surgery date was 7/30/07) I guess I've been too amazed at the changes to really keep track!
