I have come up with a good thing about the delay.  I can stop at Dr Trieu's office and have a true presurgery weight done,  My hubby has agreed that we will stop.

Yeah, I've heard that too!  I'm not looking forward to this weekend!  I start liquids tomorrow and then bowel prep on Sunday!    YUCK!  It can't be as bad as it was for the colonoscopy I had to have though!  Now ..THAT was bad!    We'll all be home before we know it!

Ruth,  I will be thinking of you today as you prepare for surgery.  Just remember that it is necessary and it will all work out in the end .  You are less than 24 hours from surgery so you will be leading the way for Jackie and I.  Best of Luck Peggy

It is hard to believe it's coming so fast!  I know the bowel prep is necessary but still doesn't make it feel any better..haha  It will be over before I know it though!  I'll be thinking about you and Jackie once I get to recovery!  Good luck to you too!   Ruth

Congrats to all you having surgery Monday. I just want to ask you something. Do you have trouble with anesthesia making you sick? If so ask them to put that motion sickness patch behind your ear if I had known ahead of time I would have insisted on it. I was heaving for almost 12 hours and couldn't get up the first day cause anti nausea meds knocked me out. Once they put that patch on I was golden.I will be praying for you all as you head into the next part of your journey.

I do have trouble with nausia after anesthesia.  The anesthesist at Maine General give me what is known as "the ****tail" through my IV and that seems to work very well.  If I have any nausia when I wake up I will remember what you said about the patch.

WE are pushing over...saving places for a new bunch of LOSERS!!! How exciting that the 3 of you are all going on the same day, what a great network for you.  I know someone was in OR before me, and my dh actually met her at Dr.L on Thursday, but I don't know who it is.  She doesn't seem to be on the board. Bowel prep is not pleasant but it's not bad either, so do what you have to do and you'll be putting a check next to that on your list, soon.  God bless all three of you, you will be in my thoughts and prayers all weekend.  k

It was magic when she realized who she had become...
