1 year today

Today makes 1 year since my initial surgery!!!  I have lost a total of 162 pounds and have gone from a size 26/28 to a size 4 ~ I have 2 prs of size 2's!!!  My year has been a very up-n-down one with a 2 week stay in the hospital whi*****luded a second surgery and 6 days in ICU.  But, now that it's all over I am so excited about where I am today!!!  I'm healthy, feel wonderful and did I mention I'm healthy!!!  Life has gone in so many different directions from the move to another town, the change in my job of 13 years and the new feelings of accomplishment and some feelings of complete FEAR.   I am adjusting to my new lifestyle with ease and difficulty.  Today I celebrated my surgerversary with a ride on not one but 2 horses!!!  I don't think I have ever ridden 2 horses back to back after cleaning 4 stalls and still have energy to spare!!!!   I haven't taken any recent pictures but I plan on attending the post-op meeting tomorrow and will bring my before pictures.  I'm looking forward to meeting all of you who will be attending and will miss those of you who are unable to attend. Thank you for your support as I know I would not be in this happy place without my OH/Maine family. 

Stephanie! You have done such an awesome job!  You give us all someone to look up to!  I hope I can do half as well as you!  I wish I could be there tomorrow night...I'd love to meet everyone too!  Hope you all have fun! All the best to you!  Ruth

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 1 YEAR SURGIVERSARY!! Your accomplishments are amazing and you should be very proud of how far you've come! Your story is a great inspiration and I can only hope to have such a story of my own when I reach the end of my first year.
